Do ovarian cysts prevent ovulation and pregnancy?

~ Specifically, one on each ovary?
just depends. have they grown? do they cause you distress? where are they located? i have cysts, they do not get bigger and do not inflict me pain and i am 6 1/2 months pregnant, so they haven't affected me in pregnancy. i would absolutely talk to you doctor. good luck!
Persistent ovarian cysts can impact hormonal cycle, so they can certainly crumple cycle / cause irregular periods / prevent ovulation. Depends on the women, and size, how many, how demanding, etc.

However, there are NOT usually a concern during pregnancy at all (assuming small and not growing) as progesterone remains elevated throughout pregnancy and placenta takes over production of the hormones needed to sustain the pregnancy by train of first trimester.

Good luck.
