Does radiation butcher the y-chromosomes within sperm individual?

my husband is in the coast guard and he says hes exposed to small amounts of radiation every once in a while.
he said adjectives his coworkers have had girls and very few have boys.
is it possible that the radiation he is exposed to only kills the y chromosomes in his sperm that produce little boys and not the x-chromosomes that produce little girls?
I don't think radiation is picky about which chromosomes it will verbs!! If it's going to affect one, it will likely affect the other as well.
If the radiation dose to the testicles is big, sperm production may stop

Answers:    not true, my husband be in the military and exposed to all sorts of chemicals and radiation and things that were said to build him infertile and yes we are having a girl, but they say boys are harder to concieve as they are weaker than girls and most men carry more of the x chromosomes
