**QUesTION! How far along formerly a positive blood theory test?

How many days or weeks pregnant do you have to be before the doctor can win a positive blood test. When do you start counting the weeks? From the date of implantation or the conception date.
if you are 8 weeks pregnant but havent had regular periods contained by months or sometimes miss them all together..how can you tell?
3-4 days after implantation or 10-11 days after fertilization. Translation: 1-2 weeks
You start counting from the first day of your last period. Which is rather odd because you aren't actually pregnant until at least 3 weeks after that. lol. So at 4 weeks pregnant is usually when you'll see a missed spell.
Blood tests can sense hCg (the pregnancy hormone) way before the urine test. Within a couple days of implantation occurring they will pick it up, however most doctors won't preform blood tests until you are at least 2 weeks late (or 28dpo...days departed ovulation).
If you aren't having your period at all consequently you probably aren't ovulating either. You may want to talk to the doctor about regulating your time so you can start ovulating regularly too.
As for knowing without a period to miss...you'll have to a moment ago look for other signs/symptoms. You can test at about 14 dpo. Usually by 18 you'll get an accurate trial.

Good luck.
i was 5 weeks when my blood test come back positive. and you start counting from the first day of your last extent

Answers:    Wow, okay let me whip these one at a time

1. Typically, your doctor will do a urine test, not a blood test, if you suspect you are pregnant. If that is distrustful, but there is still suspicion that you are pregnant THEN they might do a blood test. They are testing for your HCG horizontal, which increases rapidly when you get pregnant. It literally doubles every 2 days during the first trimester.

2. A 40 week gestation period is counted from the date of your closing period - not the date of conception. I have always found that a bit unexpected, but that is how they do it. For example, if your last period begin on January 1st, chances are you ovulated sometime between January 10 - 14th. If you conceive at that time, then on January 28th you will be 4 weeks pregnant - that's 4 weeks since the first day of your end period (the fetus is 2 weeks old).

3. If your periods are irregular, the doctor can do an ultrasound to determine an approximate conception date based on measurements of your uterus and the fetus. Also, the HCG level may give them an idea.

The best advice I can furnish you is to talk to your doctor. If he/she won't take the time to answer these basic question then you may want to think about finding another doctor. Source(s): natural life experience and my own research during my pregnancies
