I have a few questions out of interest concerning ttc i am 22 my husband 27 our first pregnancy was 2006 which terminated in ectopic my first son will be 1 in august it took 9 months to concieve him and im keen to own another close in age
How many pegnancies have you have and how long did it take to concieve them
did you use anything such a ovulatio tests etc
Answers: Hi Kedi :D
I have a 16 month dated daughter and it took us 3 months to concieve her. We are eager to not have a "big" age gap, & come off protection in 2008.
We have be TTC #2 now for 12 months in August, but this is my 1st month actually trying as we looked-for to see if it happend without all the stress of TTC. Unfortunatly it didn't and now i am trying.
I significantly reccomend you charting your BBT (Basal Body Temprature) which is your waking temprature every morning when you wake up at the same time. I put my Thermometer beneath my pillow, set my alarm for 9am & take it (before i've moved or even talked).
You can track it on this really good website;
www.fertilityfriend.com
But i would advise that when TTC to look at adjectives the fertility signs aswell as temps such as CM (Cervical Mucus), CP (Cerviccal Position). Generally speaking you are most fertile when you see EWCM (Egg White CM) this is when you are about to or are ovulationg. You can use OPK's but if you have irregular cycles you may need to examination every day to see when you Ovulate. If you get a + OPK you will ovulate in the subsequent 24-48 hours & need to be baby dancing to concieve :D Also next to CP it usually stays Low & firm when not Ovulating & goes High and soft when Ovulating.
There is so much information on the Fertility Friend website but i would reccomend you get this book as it is a bible of fertility & tells you everything you involve to know from menstrual cycles, Ovulation and charting your BBT It is called "Taking charge of your fertility" By Toni Welchler.
Another thing to mention is if after charting you find that you dont have alot of EWCM Pre-Seed is a sperm friendly Lube that women hold sworn by & is the only Lube you can use when TTC. This is because sperm can survive in the body of a woman for 3-5 days in the right conditions i.e EWCM.
Where as an egg will solitary survive 12-24 hours once it's released. This is why it is so important for you and your DH to be having intercourse every day throughout the cycle so that nearby is sperm waiting in the fallopian tubes ready to fertilise the egg. However, if your man has a low sperm count every other light of day is advised to let them replenish :D
Good luck on your TTC journey & i hope you soon win a BFP. Remember it takes a healthy couple with no fertility issues (having sex up to that time, on and 1 day after Ovulation) a year to concieve & in any given month the chances are other only 20-25%.
My tips:
1.Don't let TTC stress you out, enjoy respectively other and make love don't make babies :)
2. Put a pillow under your bum after intercourse & lay in that for 30 mins before getting up & don't go to the loo!!
3. Use Pre-seed
Baby dust & email me if you need any facilitate at all xxxx Source(s): mother of Holly Mae 16 months, TTC#2
My husband and I have been trying for 3 years. I basically used an ovulation kit, while trying to conceive. I used clearblue. I noticed the answer ones never should i ovulated. I had bought a clearblue and used the answer and clearblue showed i did. I did carry pregnant that month. If you have a CVS around you they have lube that is conception friendly. Its call Pre conceive plus. It is alot cheaper than Pre seed. I have used both and I would use the conceive plus. Good luck
