I am a man near O+ blood group and my wife is B-. Will in that be any complication surrounded by my wife's pregnancy?
Shold be take any kind of medication or precaution while planning for pregnancy?
Stephanie is right around the Rhogam shot. They are very safe and well-tested -- my mother had them when she be expecting my sister who is now 36 years old -- so they have be used for many decades! This will solve any blood-type issues and your wife and baby will be fine.
I am B- my husband is a positive,,,,she will win a Rh- shot at 28 weeks of pregnancy.its called Rhogam and shes negative and the baby will be positive so essentially the rhogam antibodies could attack hers. This mortal said all it takes is that shot and its not that painful within the back thigh, its no big deal I have 4 kids a moment ago fine and all of them are perfectly normal.
Answers: First off , ALWAYS ask your DR. question or discuss concerns about your wife's condition. I always bring a list of question to any DR. apt so I don't forget anything.
But...To ease your mind , "blood type" is not a factor that would complicate a pregnancy. I have three sons and have have medical schooling toward becoming a nurse.
Seriously, ANY uneasy feeling you have , talk to the Doc.!
