Fertility treatment and the poor ?
im trying to find a study or documentation that women on welfare can receive fertility treatments
Im debating with my freind on this, she says theres no way a character on welfare can get it, I say they can cause I remember one time seeing it on 20/20 but I cannot find any info on my search

I think you fighting an up-hill battle here, because the program you mention be actually promoting the idea that it was unseemly for women on welfare to receive public money for fertility treatments.
If a woman on welfare is suffering from a disease or illness, whether it affects her reproductively or not, she of course is entitled to receive whatever treatment is available.

Answers: Most private insurances do not cover infertility treatments. There is no way that medicaid would cover it.
That doesn't propose that a mother on welfare couldn't save up money and pay for it herself. Welfare and medicaid are different programs. Medicaid only covers the services that are medically required to hold on to a person healthy, fertility treatments do no fall beneath that. Medicaid will also cover birth control to help stop people already in the system from have more children.
I don't mean to sound like a convulse but i'm pretty sure they would not cover that. If you think about it logically, why would they pay thousands of dollars to give support to someone become pregnant when they themselves are already reliant for funding by the government?
if a person has the money on hand, but is on welfare they can still win treatment. fertility doctors don't care if your on welfare or not as long as they get paid. I believe the Octomom did it. But she used her other childs disability money i believe. Don't hold me to it, but if you can pay envelope for it I don't see why they would deny someone.
