Ovulation check come up positive after 8 days previous ovulation. Can I be pregnant?
I am currently 9 dpo. I know I ovulated 9 days ago bc I had a OPK come up positive and I can TELL from the way I was fancy that I was ovulating. Cramping, mucus, etc.
But last night I a moment ago felt like taking another ovulation test and it come up POSITIVE. Even though I ovulated last week. My period isn't due until the 29th. I took a HPT tonight and it was NEGATIVE.
Can the ovulation testing by detecting early pregnancy hormones better than the HPT?
Answers: though OPK can be used as pregnancy test (hcg and LH hormone are similar), they are not 100% reliable and don't work for everyone. But you don't really know if you are testing LH or HCG hormone rank with OPK (LH could be elevated during late ovulation or if you have hormonal inequity like PCOS). So I would ignore the OPK result for now especialy given it go negative afterwards.
For HPT, it is too early to test - dawdle till this weekend to do that. Good luck.
