Cervical Mucus Question...?
I never notice cervical mucus and when I have checked for it there never seem to be any there. Could this be why I am not getting pregnant? Is there anything I can do to increase this?

Do you only check the toilet tissue? If so, you should try checking internally...not all women own CM that comes out...sometimes it all stays in the vaginal cavity, up around the cervix (where it belongs!). However, if you check internally regularly and you still don't find any CM, then yes, it could conspicuously inhibit you from becoming PG.
Studies have shown that, with a total lack of CM, sperm may singular live 2-3 HOURS inside the uterus...still possible to become PG, but timing has to be EXACT and that's very difficult! With good EWCM, sperm can live, on average, 2-3 DAYS, near 5-7 being the absolute longest, giving you a much longer fertile window.
There are inborn things you can have which may boost the amount of CM and make it better: first drink plenty of water, put away colorful veggies that are high in beta carotene (think red, orange, and pallid!), have a bit of grapefruit or grapefruit juice (it contains enzymes crucial to CM production!), stay away from antihistamines and don't over do it with Vitamin C...both can dry you up!
If you find you own thick CM around your O time, taking a decongestant cough medicine can help tapered it out. Olive oil makes a good, past the worst lubricant, and egg whites can also be used cautiously (their makeup is similar to EWCM, as both are protein rich!), and sperm-friendly lubes like pre-seed may also help. You can also try taking EPO (evening primrose oil) from AF-O ONLY, and it may boost your CM production and can also give a hand you with PMS symptoms. Source(s): TTC#2 almost 4 years.
