Calculating ovulation after miscarriage?
Hi,
I suffered a miscarriage on 24/6/09 i bled for 3 days and had brown discharge for 1 week, then went on to stop and start bleeding for a week, next started bleeding (like a period) on 10/07/09 and stopped today.
My dr said its normal to bleed for around 20days for a natural miscarriage. I was 5 weeks pregnant when i miscarried.
My put somebody through the mill is.. do i start counting my cycle day from the first bleeding on 24/6/09 or from the second bleeding on 10/7/09? I have looked online for answers, lots of people are axiom you count from the first sign of red blood, but i bleed brown & red for nearly 4 weeks!
so am i now starting a new cycle? i know a period is just if you have had a break from bleeding for 21days straight?
any help near girls who have been in this situation would be great,

Answers: Sorry to hear of yr loss. I know how u touch, i miscarried in May at 9 weeks and bled for 2weeks continously while having a natural miscarriage not a d&c. The doctor told me to lurk until 1-2 cycles have passed before trying and usually takes 4-6 weeks for period to come back all together. The reason you should skulk is so your body can recover and get back to ordinary so next time u fall pregnant it goes to full permanent status, if you dont let yr body recover it could lead to another miscarriage which could be heartbreaking. Wait until yr subsequent period comes and start from there. Lots of baby dust xx
Like you I also miscarried at 5w5d (last Tuesady on my daughters 2nd birthday) :-(
I bled for 5 days and spotted the daylight before the bleed. The bleeding started on Tuesday and stopped completely on Saturday (now have nothing).
I am counting last Tuesday as daylight 1 and am starting to use opks on Saturday (day 12). It may take longer than normal til we ovulate but it will happen again.
