A few question nearly TTC?
Hubby and I are hoping to start TTC in a few months. I have a few questions and I would appreciate any answers I can seize!
First of all do you think it's necessary to carry an OPK? I don't really know when I ovulate. Before I went on the pill I had kind of irregular cycles, but my best guess is that I have a 30 or 31 day cycle.
Second question: I know that a woman's most fertile time of the month is when she ovulates, so during that time, how often should we enjoy sex? What about when I'm not ovulating-how many times should we have sex later?
Also, any tips you can give me about TTC would be great! Thanks so much everyone!
Answers: I don't think you inevitability an OPK to conceive. If your cycles are wildly irregular, you could just try having sex 2-3 times a week. Once you capture a hang of your cycle (and varying by a few days is normal and considered to be fairly regular) you will know how to tell when you are getting to your fertile time. Don't have sex more than once a day but every other morning is fine too. A woman ovulates around 14 days before she expects her next period and the just right time for conception is the entire week before ovulation and a few days after, just to make sure you own your window covered. When you're not ovulating it's still a good idea to hold sex a few times a week to keep the sperm fresh.
My best advice is just to be lenient as these things can take awhile (it's normal to take up to a year). Hopefully you won't hold to wait too long!
Good luck and baby dust!
What I did is have sex every other time and when I figured I was ovulating I would everyday. Get to know your body well nearby are signs such as cervical mucus that will be a sign your about to ovulate. I never liked opks too much. I just be real in tune with my body. Good luck. Oh and I layed contained by bed with my legs closed for 15 min. after sex, they say it dosent make a difference but I did anyway
