Question in the order of the drug provera?

i know it is used for women ttc, but i am not and my dr prescibed it to me. i have been having really long period-- started on 6-5 and i am still on. it go from light to heavy and back again but i hold been on everyday. anyways my thought after reading up on provera was why did she give me this script, when it is usually used to start a womans time of year... i am trying to do the opposit. also she said it safe to take this while nursing, ( i have a 9 month old) but the couple places i read said it is not. im going to ask the pharmacy when i compress the script, but do you know anything about it?

Answers:    Not only is provera used to start periods its also used for filling long periods google that and you will probably find useful info on provera .provera is used for a # of things not just when ttc ask ur doc pass them a call my guess is the doc is trying to stop u from bleeding G.L.
