I'm not really clear on how to calculate coverline myself but if you go to fertilityfriend.com, they own some info on it and if you put your temps in, it'll calculate your coverline for you.
If you are using the Fertility Friend website then you don't need to verbs about the coverline - they will draw it on your chart once ovulation has been identified.

Just use the FF website - enter your wake temps every morning on their chart and record any other info, such as your cervical mucus, OPK's and sex. They will plot your temps on their chart and once they've detected ovulation, a red crosshairs (coverline) will be drawn on your chart. That's all you need to do, so don't verbs about anything else!
Answers:    The coverline doesn't actually mean a great deal, but is a line you can draw once the temp shift has occurred, separating your pre- and post- ovulation temps. It is a horizontal dash, and should be drawn so all your pre- O temps (ignoring any temps that you wish to disregard, such as disturbed night or illness) are below it. If you draw a vertical column on the day of ovulation you end up with a + on your chart. This is prearranged as "crosshairs" and allows you to clearly see your pre- and post- O temperatures and identify your ovulation day.

It helps to see the temp shift, but doesn't really provide any more information than that. It's mundane to have a couple of temps that get close to, or dip below, the coverline after ovulation, and this is fine- but if you notice they are frequently or consistently doing this you probably inevitability a progesterone levels check just to make sure your progesterone level are ok, as low post-O temps can be a sign that there is a progesterone problem.
I am doing the same and its when you spy a spike in your chart. A noticeable increase in temp. (not minor. noticeable)
