*Femara & Clomid Ladie HELP..PLEASE?
Hi there, I have PCOS as well, be trying to get pregnant for four years and was on clomid, provera, Gonal f pen, and trigger shot with no luck. I took Femara for four cycle and get pregnant on the last one (six months along now). The first two cycle on the Femara I did not ovulate, the third cycle I did at cycle day 45. Then on the 4th cycle on Femara I ovulated right at day 14 and get pregnant that cycle. Also, when reviewing my ovaries there were NO cycsts to be found! Good luck to you, it can happen. I own researched and found woman with PCOS have a better rate of Femara working then conventional woman.
Hi hun! I have PCOS and Femara was the first med my Reproductive Endocrinologist put me on. I don't have Insulin Resistance, so be never on Metformin. The first cycle of Femara was 5mg for days 3-7 and it didn't work for me, although i had much better results with that first afterwards when I was switched to Clomid 50mg for a second attempt. Clomid was not the med for me. I started the same dosage and length of Femara again contained by Jan 09 + Gonal-f injections on specific days. I then had to have the ovidrel trigger shot followed by timed intercourse. It worked! :) My hubby and I are immediately expecting our first lil one in October :) Lots of women have success beside Femara and others Clomid. One might work better for you. If your doctor wants to try it, at least you'll know which med is better for you personally. plus it could work first shot and you return with pregnant :) 8 years is a long time hun.
