Is it possible to actively select the sex (gender) of your child while trying to own a child?
me and my girlfriend may be trying to have a baby soon, will it be possible to take steps to ensure that it's a GIRL?

Unless you want to do abortion or travel to a fertility clinic and have only X sperm implanted there is no passageway. Just leave it up to God. It is the man who determines the baby's gender.
You can never really guarantee a boy or a girl, but there is this older wives tale where if you make love 2 or 3 days since ovulation, your chances of having a girl are slightly higher, because girl sperm swim slower but live longer. However you could also run the risk of not becoming pregnant every month because sperm individual live for approx 3 days! But you can still land up having a boy lol I think you will be joyful with whatever you get though. x

There is also Microsort sperm sorting of if you undergo IVF they can test the sperm for sexual category before transferring it.
