15/16 DPO, AF 2 days in arrears, cynical HPT, positive OPK. Pls assistance, thankfulness?
Hi, I am 15/16 dpo with several pregnancy symptoms (on/off nausea, fuller boobs, vivid dreams & tiredness, frequent urination, bloating) and my period is 2 days late. I am never unpaid and my cycles are always 24/25 days, like clockwork. All hpt are negative, so out of frustration I took opk test I had left and it was first distrustful (control line lighter then test line), but the one I took today be positive (control line as dark as the test line). Has anyone experienced this and did it latter result in pregnancy? I am so frustrated, I thought 2 days after AF is due I would be able to test positive beside HPT. Thanks for any personal experiences here :)
Answers: I don't know about the chances you are pregnant. Some HPT's will tell you sooner but since you are already behind for your period then it should be accurate by now. Some women though NEVER grasp a positive HPT even when they are pregnant.
I am only 9DPO and not due for my period for at least another 6-11 days...(my cycles are typically 35 days with Ovulation around CD20, but this month O day was CD16 which is 4 days sooner, so I own no idea when I am actually due). BUT.. Just for the heck of it I tested with an OPK at 6DPO and get a Positive, tested again at 7DPO and got another positive, and tested yesterday:8DPO and got a positive darker than what I get on Ovulation Day. But when I tested with a HPT this morning it was NEG...What gets me is the OPK's you are supposed to decline liquids and not urinate for at least 2 hours before taking them(which is what I did when I ovulated) and the ones I hold taken in the last 3 days I have gone to the bathroom almost half hour before hand it be still positive... Hoping that maybe I am, but only God knows the answer to that one.
