Rule of thumb though is you ovulate in the order of 14 days after the FIRST day of your last period, not the second.

* You ovulate 2 weeks after the LAST day of your length so if you started on the 1 and ended on the 7 you would ovulate the 21
*Have sex a couple days before you ovulate sperm can live up too 72 hours
*Take an ovulation test you can buy them at walmart (just similar to a pregnancy test)
*When you get done having sex raise your bottom up so the sperm go upwards stay like that for at least 15 min
*Take a bath or do something relaxing up to that time having sex
*Start eating healthy and exercising
*If you or your partner smokes stop it really decrease your chances
*Start prenatal care

Answers: It depends on the first day of your last period, typically it is 14 days from then.
If your period was 7 days long consequently you would be more fertile around now.
One way to check fertility is to monitor your cervical mucous (tmi!) but if it is like egg white it is a apposite time to be trying!

Not necessarily. It doesn't matter when your period end. What matters is when your NEXT period is due to start. (Most women ovulate something like 14 days (12-16 days in the great majority of cases) before the first day of their subsequent period.
So, figure when your next extent is due and count backwards.
