Pregnancy after HSG plz HELP!?
I will soon be having my first HCG. It's just to make sure everything is working down in that. My husband and I have been TTC for almost a year. I had a m/c surrounded by May. Could anyone share their HSG experience with me and/or if they sucuessfully conceived shortly after? I've read that fertility increases for 3 months after because of the fluid being injected flushes out any minor blockages.
Hello. I had an HSG 10/08. Unfortunately, I have yet to conceive. The check showed that my left ovary was blocked, and I had "tube recannulation" 12/08 to own it cleared.
The HSG itself was extremely uncomfortable for me. It felt similar to one very long very intense menstrual cramp. I continued to cramp for about one hour after the procedure. The subsequent day however, I was so bloated and crampy I could hardly move! My RE told me that be not a typical reaction to the test, and my discomfort could have be due to the Dr that performed the test pushing the fluid too fast and accidentally get some air in there. He be a student Dr, and I think I was one of his first HSG patients...lucky me.
The tube recannulation was done beneath conscience sedation, and though it was more invasive, I did not have the same issues after that procedure as the HSG. I also have a more experienced Dr for that one too!
I've heard many women conceive shortly after an HSG as well. I don't know if it necessarily make you more fertile though.
Good Luck!! Loads of baby dust to you! Source(s): Personnal experience
5th round Clomid
4th IUI cycle
Praying this is our month!
I had my HSG 2/24 which led to surgery to remove a polyp. I had two mc surrounded by the 12 months prior, and my RE felt that the polyp may have made my uterus irritable and helped me MC. Now 4 and a partly months later I am pregnant again!! I am hoping that with the polyp removed The pregnancy will sustain.
The HSG procedure is easy. You may surface a little pinching, but it is manageable, a little bit more humiliated than a pelvic.
I have heard as well that the flushing out may relief increase fertility. Baby Dust to you!! Source(s): myself
Answers: I assist dr.s while they do this procedure. It really helps, if you are trying to draw from PG you most likely will. this is truely like the ultimate pipe cleaner. When they do your procedure they will not speak about you this because they dont want to make any promises to you. But I have seen a great deal of woman get PG after having this done. Better start thinking of baby name :)
I have heard that your likelihood of conceiving are better the next few months after you have your HSG done. It does clear out any minor blockages as well as donate the doctor a better look at what is going on. I had mine done in May and also had a Laparoscopy done surrounded by June so far not preggo, but I'm still hopeful.
Really an HSG is a good thing. I mean you may not own anything wrong or you may have more going on than you might think (that was the satchel with me), but never-the-less it's a step in the right direction! =)
***Lots of baby dust to you***
