Im ovulating today... but im confused?
me and my husband want a baby. hes looking forward to it so we decided we would start trying. so anyway...i went online looking for fertility and ovulation calculators and different websites point at today mortal the day i ovulate. but now what? was i suppose to enjoy sex yesterday, today or tomorrow? lol. im new to this.

and the first day of my last period be june,22, 2009
and may, 26, 2009 the month before that. and if im not mistaken.. thats a 27 day cycle. idk.
I've learned those online calculators are innacurrate. Every woman is different. I hold been seeing a doctor to help concieve and have studious it is a myth that every woman ovulates on day 14, as most calculators use as thier basis.
The charting is meant as a common guideline for you to follow and once you do it for a few cycles you will begin to notice the similarities in your own cycle from cycle to cycle.
I use Fertility Friend and it confirms ovulation beside your bbt and cm together. You would need to just pay attention to the different stages of it after af ends respectively month. It's not a given that you will ovulate at the same time each month and I would honestly go by my cm any way. There may be a month you don't ovulate at all, which is not uncommon, but charting would allow you to see how regularly this happens so you can alert your dr. with the issue. The wetter you are the more friendly an environment for the sperm to swim...And they love the stretchy ewcm--egg white consistency cm.

Month 1
Monday 22nd June 2009 - First day of your cycle
Thursday 2nd July 2009 - A little bit fertile
Friday 3rd July 2009 - Fertile
Saturday 4th July 2009 - VERY fertile
Sunday 5th July 2009 - Time to ovulate
So you should have relations again today and tomorrow if possible. Then skulk and see what happens in 2 weeks. The TWW is tough and seems to whip forever, but good luck and lots of baby dust.

Sperm can easily live contained by your body for around 3 days, and usually for around 5 days. The egg lives for less than a day after ovulation if it isn't fertilized.
So... for your best chance you want to enjoy sex a couple of times in the 3-4 days leading up to ovulation. By the time you know you have ovulated, it's probably too unsettled.
With a 27 day cycle you probably ovulate around day 12-15 of your cycle. (On-line calculators just do unfinished math .. which you can do yourself. For more accurate calculations you'd want to use a predictor kit.
If you had sex on Friday, it should probably cover you if you ovulate today ... but trying over again tonight won't hurt. (You might ovulate tomorrow or Wednesday with a 27 day cycle too.)
