TTC Does untimely pregnancy effect your immune system?

TTC and hoping to be pregnant. I don't usually get sick and have had a horrible flu for times gone by week. I was reading that the body "turns down" your immune system during fertilization and implantation so that it does not reject the baby. Is this true? Could this have open me up to getting the flu and could I in some way consider it a possible pregnancy symptom?
Answers:    Unlikely and wishful thinking here. Cannot find any mainstream irrefutable view to support claim immune system turns down after ovulation. Might be true but cannot find scientific link. Hard to testing that and in any event, not relevant here.

Flu is a viral infection - even if you had the best immune system, you are still likely to seize sick depending on the strain and whether you've fought it before - the duration / symptoms of flu will vary depending on how well / like lightning can your immune system fight it. To think that since your flu was worse than common means it is a pregnancy symptoms is wishful thinking.

Good luck.
