Sex after IVF? (sorry TMI here)?
Ok so I had my embryo transfer 2 days ago. My written instructions say no intercourse till after the pregnancy testing. But does this also mean no orgasm till after the pregnancy test? It might be all the drugs and crazy hormones but gosh, I am f-in horny! Can I still receive oral?
Answers: Sorry - no orgasm. Some doctors consistency that the uterine contractions could impact implantation in the early stages - this is the reason for no oral and no masturbation. Intercourse is a resounding no-no because you do not want to risk fertlizing any eggs they may not have retrieved leading to a higher risk multiple pregnancy.
