I'm 8 days previous progesterone shot..when could i tryout?

Hi! i'm on fertility treatment this cycle.took clomid on day 2-6 and gonal-f shots on day 1&7.HCG on day 12 & ovulate on afternoon 14. my doc gave me progesterone shot on day 19 and he said if its unsuccessful i should expect AF to come 5 days later. today is 8 days previous the shot and still no AF. do u think i could try to take a test already?
