(PCOS) deliberate i ovulated?
i have pcos(but dont get the cysts) and am ttc. my doctor put me bcp to regulate my period for 3 months but i just took them for 1 month(took 1st pill may 1st)
and got my period may 24th.
after that i stopped taking them i got ovulation pains this month and get my period the 24th of this month but it was light. is this a moment ago breakthrough bleeding from being off the pills? or is my body back to run of the mill? and is there a possibility i could be pregnant? thanks for ur thoughts.
I go and get cramps during both times. When I ovulate I get cramps either on the left or right but not both. So if your cramping solely on one side then you could be ovulating. Not all people enjoy cramps, but its normal
I have PCOS also. And the darling doctors wanted to crawl me full of BCP i refused, and found a new doc, and he put me on metformin, i took it for 3 months came fund in for a follow up and my cycle had regulated. he took me off the metformin and my cycle have stayed regular. the only bad part is they are still long and unwieldy. my period lasts 12-14 days instead of the typical 4-7. before the kick-off of my pcos i felt when i ovulated, then once it developed worse i stopped ovulating or at least i stopped opinion it, after metformin i now feel when i do again.
i think you should reach a deal to your doctor about metformin treatments, and about TTC.
Best of luck to you!
Answers: It can take days, weeks, and sometimes months for hormones to normalize after stopping birth control. but afterwards again, that is irrelevant if you have PCOS since the hormones are usually not perfectly floating anyway. Good thing that you stopped the birth control - that doesn't make sense if you are TTC - it doesn't regulate your cycle, it just give you an artificial one and can do more damage than any good if you are trying to TTC.
In order to seize your cycle back to more "normal", get the doctor to prescribe you metformin. Metformin helps decline insulin resistance which is the underlying cause of PCOS.
On your questions, it is unlikely that you are pregnant. The bleeding could be anything breakthrough, anovulatory, or regular menstrual bleeding. Impossible for anyone to guess. In order to digit out whether your body is back to normal, it is too early to recount. Need to see couple of more hopefully regular cycles.
Good luck.
I would right to be heard wait a few more days and get yourself tested with blood question paper... Then u will know for sure u r a preggo or not...
The best thing to reduce PCOS is net tablets and also exercise and in shape diet.. I too had PCOS and am now 27 weeks preg... it really took a long time for me to get preg. but at the shutting i succeeded.. So if i can get preg then definitely u can.. Good Luck dear.
In my opinion... when interval is without cramps and veru light its breakthrough bleeding. i hadf it too out of nowhere when i stopped the pills. I got two period in that one month.. one with cramps which i believe was a proper time of year and the other without any pain what so ever and was table lamp. give it two more months i am sure you will be pregnant by then. met works wonders for lots of women. Good luck
