2 Questions contained by 1, Ovulation or possibly already pregnant?
Ok so I have been taking a ovulation predictor strip for a few days and and there have been no surge and it is around the time that I should be ovulating. So can one still ovulate while the predictor strip say no surge? Or..here is the kicker, I have be nauseous and lots of heartburn and completely exhausted by 10am, I had my period final week, but technically it should be this week. My period lasted 3 days and had cramping the first time and than came really really light. Could this be implantation? Please help.

Answers: OPK's unanimously will show ovulation for a long period of time if you are pregnant, so chances are good that you have either a hormonal imbalance or, luteal phase defect second month and had an early period. Chances are also virtuous that your 'cycle' is now a week off and you will have a positive OPK subsequent week. If you dont, just keep testing, as you might ovulate spuratically.
The reality that you had a period earlier than regular and it was 'light' suggests to me that you had a luteal phase defect that occured becaue you possibly have low progesterone. The 'length' and amount you bleed each month has a lot to do next to the lining of your uterus (how built up it is). Progesterone and estrogen cause the lining to build. If you hold low progesterone, you will have lighter periods. If you have cramping etc. that runs into your legs or is more severe than usual and is followed by lighter bleeding, it can suggest that you have a cyst (ovarian).
Have you been tested for PCOS? Its quite common and have similar situations as your own.
I would wait until next month, if you still dont get a length and have a negative pregnancy test, I would see your dr. Good luck
