Any accepted wisdom for things to do while babysiting a 10 year ancient girl?
Im babysitting this 10 year old girl and she gets bored easily. i requirement ideas to keep us busy and not bored. The ideas also call for to be using common items. Plz help. Thank you
Does she have video games? If not, you could play board games, run bike riding, jump rope, draw...a 10 year old will know what she wants to do, you could lately ask her.
Books like facts of history, guiness world book of records, Where's Waldo, my daughter and I play and read these alot, now the goad is finding new ones. She loves music and downloading new songs, drawing and playing hangman and board games.
America's Funniest Homevideos is a favorite to watch or the discovery ditch and haunted history.
Spa treatments are cool but you run out of grooming options, so the books are cool.
Guess what I'm drawing? A funny game where on earth we pick a color and you have to draw a picture that fits the color and you have the other one to guess what you drew. Example: yellow crayon-Banana, if she guessed it, she get to draw and the one that gets the most right wins.

Movie night with popcorn and candy. You can also do a spa treatment to her. Do her spine and paint her nails. Get a bunch of board games and play them. Make it almost as if you were having a sleepover, so that she can enjoy fun.

I have 3 kids and I also hold several kids in my family and I know the girls love those little kits you can buy at the store. They own like bracelet making kits, stained glass kit, painting kits.
What about watching a movie or playing a boardgame with her? I used to babysit these twin boys and they'd love to sit down and watch some T.V. or play a board winter sport. Could you bake a cake together or do something like that?

my 10 years old neice like playing (age appropriate) games on the computer.
here are some options
turn to wal mart and buy the cheap but cute mini bottles of nail polish. you can get them at about a dollar.
agree to her paint her nails and deocrate them. that should keep her fairly busy.
you can also boil. (if parents are ok with that)do cookies or brownies or whatever she likes.
try cookie cutters and ect. buy those 99 cent bottles of icing for her to embellish. that seems to keep them busy.
you can bring your old brand up and give each other make overs.
a short time ago make sure you haave face wash:)
you can pop popcorn and craft some fruit smoothies then watch a movie later that darkness.
for the smoothies, let her create it her self then blend it up in a blender.
but try and keep hold of her as busy and happy as possible because when the kid is happy, the parents are happy, and the recompense more:) lol good luck
