1 yr infirm son possible milk allgery have any experiences this?
when my son was 1 month old he had blood surrounded by his stool, then the doc put him on similac alimentum formula for kids with milk allergies. Now since he is turning one the doctor wants us to "try total milk" has any ones children started off allergic to milk and then out grew it by the time they be one. I 'm just nervous to try the milk in panic he will have a reaction.
my son was on soy til he was a year b/c the other formula bothered his belly and he be fine when i gave him the whole milk
My youngest had matching problem. But after the first year he was able to drink regular milk just fine. Try him out near the milk , then keep an eye on him for a couple of days, if there seem to be no problems, then that's great ! If there are problems you might have to keep hold of him on Soy milk.
Either way he should be fine. There are thousands of people who are lactose intolerant.
Answers: When I started my son on whole milk I asked my doctor more or less allergies. She mentioned that children under one often can't handle total milk b/c their body's are not made for it. Once my son hit 1yo my doctor said his system should be developed enough to handle it.
My son have milk allergies (lactose intolerant... along with a few other allergies)... we had to give him soy as a babe... he is 4 and still has a milk allergy.
I had to put my son on Similac Sensitive (lactose-free formula) because of his lactose intollerance. By the time he be 1 he had outgrown it and drank whole milk just fine.
