15 month matured won't verbs himself up...?

Ok so my son is now 15 months old and will not pull himself up onto the furniture. All of the other babies I know are walking at this point and it's starting to verbs me. I have tried putting things out of reach but he just give up on trying to get them. He will stand up and hold onto us or the furniture if we put him there but just refuse to do it himself. I know they say that every baby is different and they'll do it on their own time but how long until I should be concerned?
What I would do is hold him evaluated by early intervention. It's free and they might also have some pointers on how you can help him. They are wonderful and really can do wonders. Good luck
My Daughter Is Mentally delayed and she only now started pulling up on furniture and slowly creeping around the coffee table holding on to it.. she just turned 2 years old! we are sooo Proud of her... but she have Physical therapy coming to our house once a week... so she has had alot of backing... You might want to get him condition evaluated.. and please iam not saying your child is mental because he cant walk! He a moment ago might need a few encouraging gestures that therapist could give a hand you with.. I hope this helps!
Answers:    Yes! every baby is different and develops differently. My son did meander at 11 months but couldnt get himself into the standing position without help. He have low mussle tone in his upper body and needed help. He needed help beside learning to do all his milestones. rolling over, he was behind schedule, he never crawled. So untill he could walk at 11 months he would stay in the same place untill we moved him or stood him up. He, and I deduce you son would benefit from physical therapy. Ask your doctor about it. Early Intervention is great. they come to your home and evaluate your child to see if they qualilfy for servises, if he does a therapist will come to your home a few times a week to minister to your son. Then you will know what to do each day to help him carry stronger, if thats what he needs.

He isnt refusing to do it, he just cant. A newborn wants to explore. My son is well...a chicken still to this day, he is 6. He will be alarmed totry new things but once he is shown how to do something and realizes he can he does it very economically. We had to show my son how to stand. ex. have him be next to the couch, if he can make his hands to the seat of the couch have him do it. consequently put one foot on the floor and he may push himslef to the standing position, it may take some work...it did with my son but keep at it. He will get hold of there. Look into some therapy, it can only give support to him. it helped my son alot and it is fun for them, the therapists make it similar to playtime.

If you are concerned, then it is time to take action. He could be fine contained by a month or two or he may need help. Its better imo to get them help out earlier rather than later.
It definately seems that he may be behind, most are walking by that age but they influence that it can be normal for a child to walk as late as 18 months. I would cart him to a doctor to get checked out though. He should at least be pulling up by now.
Have you had an agency to do an assessment of him---if not that would be a right idea. I really suspect there is no problem---but still would do an assessment. Several agency's do these assessments and there is no charge. Here we own Birth---to Three and they are very good. If there is a problem or true snag they will work with your child free---no charge.
