Any suggestions for potty trainning?
My daughter is readyy for potty training and I have taken her to the potty and showed her how to do it, she pulls down her pants and pull ups adjectives by herself then sits on the potty but does not go just sitts within I have tryed to show her by me going at the same time but that don't work so I gave up for a few days I even have her go without her pull ups that be a mess she is always taking off her owen pull up even throws it at me when she wishes changed and when she poops she points and some times gets her owen pull up I just don't know what to do she is 2 and a partially and ready
Just be consistent. If she only just wants to sit there, let her sit here. Eventually she'll go on the potty, and when she does, make a big deal. Get excited, clap/dance/sing/hooray her. Offer some loving of reward system (the daycare where I work gives chewy jellybeans for kids who are potty training.) I give my 2 year elderly a sticker to add to her potty chart when she goes on the potty. Once the whole chart is complete, she gets a special surprise!
Don't push too much, she'll go when she's ready. But, when she say she has to go, even if you know she's never really gone on the potty, take her. One light of day, she'll surprise you.

---get a little sticker chart every time she goes she gets a sticker..once adjectives the stickers are gone she gets a small prize
---tell her that shes not a baby and big girls use the potty
---get a viedo or book that shows other kids usuing the potty
---get her a kids potty with her favorite part on it
---if she is scared of the big potty...put a stool under her feet

Answers: We are in the same situation kinda near our 2.5 year old son. He likes to peepee in the potty but he doesnt do it consistently. He will not poopoo within the potty. He wears pullups too and he has the ability to run down his pants and take his pullup off. When he poos his pant and you ask him about it he says "No Mommy!"
I feel approaching he is getting there but needs more time.
My 18 month old might be trained previously him. She tells me when she needs to poopoo and has pooped within the potty twice now.
I am holding out hope that he will be potty-trained by 3. At least during the day time.
