Advice when Babysitting?
Well, I made a flyer put it in church and the library (where I volunteer). & there's this adorable little kid who's 2 years old, shes not crazy like the others, shes if truth be told really quiet. I'm 13 I am also a certified babysitter from American Red Cross, but I want some advice on what to do to keep the toddler busy, what to ask, and any advice would be helpful! Thanks:)
Answers: Children that age love attention. Play simple games with her close to 'hide & go seek' or 'animal sounds' (you ask her what sound does a dog gross...she says "woof-woof", etc). More than anything she will just love that fact that she is the center of attention.
If she requests a snack avoid anything with sugar in it.
Make sure you ask her parents if she has any food allergies and own their cell phone number easily available.
Hi Katelyn: Cute Avatar:-} What I could suggest is that you try to prepare this child for life. Teach her the alphabet show her shapes and colors. Start feeding her brain so she have a good start. Bring her to the park (if there is one near by) and socialize her near other children. Dress her up in pretty dresses so she feels pretty for herself. Try different hair styles respectively time your with her.
So I hope this helps you out. Have fun. Good luck.
