Try using those diapers that allows the child to be aware of wet.
Also, you might have to ask him constantly if he has to turn instead of waiting on him to tell you.
Here this is a great website. http://www.babycenter.com/0_successful-p… I understand how frustrating this is, but I assure you it will get done. I help train my fiances 4 year old daughter how to go on the "big girl potty." It took some time though, she was as determined not to shift as we were to train her. But I know that this website has a lot of dutiful tricks. Basically all I can say is patients is the key. Best of luck! Source(s): http://www.babycenter.com/0_successful-p…
Make him go to the potty every 30 min. for about 5 min. I did this with my daughter and it worked.
find a relative the he is scared of or not used to self around...
Get them to tell him in a stern voice to progress to the potty!
It worked for my niece..
Not that it help to tell you this now, but the longer you wait to potty train after age 2, the more difficult it become. My advise is to plan to take 3 days and for those 3 days, toilet training is your full time job. Get rid of the pull-ups. Because he is the age he is, you can explain to him that you are both staying home until he decide to use the potty. Just say it in a matter of certainty way. Tell him that people expect big boys to use the potty so until he decides to use it, the two of you will be staying home.no play date, no park, no going anywhere.. Let him wear ONLY regular underwear After breakfast, making sure he has a big drink, ask him if he has to "go". If he says no, fine. Remind him again contained by a half hour. IF he wets his under pant, make him wipe it up. Something about feeling it run down his legs, surrounded by most cases, seems to get their attention...haha. That is why you don't put other clothing on him. Also, he will "help" you wipe up the puddle on the floor and wash himself. Do not become upset near him, just be matter of fact. Tell him, subsequent time, it would be easier to do it in the potty. Be kind of business like. He'll become sick of wipe up the floor and washing himself.. I had a few of my friends as "helpers". I'd have them phone call us on the phone to "invite" us to the park or a party or the pool and I'd just casually voice, in front of him/her..."Sorry, we can't come today because xxxx is learning to use the potty". Then I'd say to him/her, "Won't it be fun when we can turn with them to the park and you can wear your new big kid underwear?" Then go along near what you are doing. Do not forget to remind him every half hour or so offering lots of water. Usually, after 3 or 4 times of peeing down their legs, they really would prefer to do it in the potty. Wearing nought but underwear also makes it easier for them to do it on their own. With a little girl, a dress is great. For little boys, when they finally decide to cooperate, use natural shorts with elastic waists instead of pants beside straps .Of course each time he has success praise him, but generous of act as if you expected it and knew he could do it because now he is a big boy. Good luck.and remember do not walk out of the house until he gets it !! I used to try to time it around a 3 day week-end in the spring or summer between the age of 2 and 21/2. You and he CAN do it : )
get it fun, put cheeious in the toilet and tell him to it them with his pee.. hahahah
Answers: My little one was is very stubborn. She will be 3 within October and had no interest in the potty. Two weeks ago we spent the weekend at home, going commando! She just run around with a shirt on and no bottoms. I started by asking her to sit on the potty and we would look at books. Finally, she went! Yay! We made a big deal out of it - call grandma, made a cake and sang "happy potty to you!" Silly, yes, but she loves cake and I wanted to get a big deal out of it. The next time she went, I give her a Starburst candy. Yes, we did have accidents, but only 3. I have to leave her bottom bare - no diapers, pull up, underwear or even shorts, because she would lately pee in them with no problem. I think it be the nakedness that worked for her.
Good luck to you! Source(s): currently potty training!
