21 month dated daughter isnt drinking right?? Help?
She will just pick at her food and eat 3-6 bites at a time. Is it just what stage she is within? Or should I talk to her doctor about it? Another thing is she be born at 2lb at 33 weeks I think she always going to be small but with her drinking will it effect her?
My oldest son go through this - the doctor said 'he will eat when he's hungry'. Just have food available and lots of liquids - sooner or subsequent she will eat.
At that age, she already eat a lot of different foods I guess. Simply put different nutritious items on a plate where she can get some anytime she feel like it. Do not force food on a child. Do not try to encourage or scold her give or take a few food. It may make things worse.
Cut up some apple pieces, banana slices, cheese cubes, baby carrots, bits of cooked chicken meat (all small satisfactory to eat without choking) and things like this on a plate. Put the plate within her room where she plays, or in the living room on the coffee table. Once there is no pressure, she will simply abet herself. Same way, leave out her milk bottle or sippy cup. Be sure that is child formula with all the nutrients in near. This way you know she has her vitamins and minerals.
Weigh her once a week. If she starts loosing weight, move about to the doctor.
Otherwise, she is doing everything correct, by nature. She will not grow as fast as others since she was a preemie.
Just endow with her plenty loving! Source(s): vet mom
Answers: my daughter was the kind of the same. in the future she would only eat a few bites at a time and some days she ate as much as me! just present her food a lot and don't force her, she won't starve as long as you keep offering it. don't worry, tomorrow you might stir up and she will be eating like a teenage boy! (and consequently she will go back to a few bites per meal lol)
I think specifically normal at her age. I have twins that eat matching way. It will be that way for a while actually. When they are hungry they drink good, when they aren't they pick. Sometimes I don't see how they eat enough to survive.
It's normal.
My daughter does the same thing. Some days she scarcely eats at all and others she eats adjectives day long.
She's at the age where she will tell you when she's hungry or not.
Don't verbs too much about it, unless you notice she's losing weight, afterwards I would talk to the doc.
have fun
