What's party to remuneration a babysitter / nanny who does housework?
Well I've been interviewing sitters / nannies and one of the qualifications is she must have a coup¨¦ to take my son to the zoo and places like that and to and from school. Another qualification is she must be fluent surrounded by English and Spanish.
Well I interviewed this really nice woman and she speaks little English but fluent in Spanish. She doesn't have transportation but she's willing to do some cooking and cleaning which sounds great. She's simply been here 8 months, she's from Morracco. She said she will work for $9.00 an hour. We are in S. F. BayArea. Now she doesn't have a saloon so she can't take him places. But she can to my home and watch him. So if I pay her $9.00 is that impartial? What am I supposed to pay her? Help me stay fair. Thank you!
Answers: Well, since she no longer has a motor, I wouldn't think it's fair to pay $9.00 an hour. But in the past you do anything, explain to her why you are going to pay less than normal. Make sure she understand. I think $7.00 an hour is appropriate. But I always tip my children's babysitters about 1 dollar. So I guess the fair thing would be 7 an hour plus 1 dollar as tip.
