My two year hoary daughter have kill the household pet, is this commonplace?
my 2 year old daughter just killed one of the family unit dogs. She put him in her diaper bag and put the diaper bag outside. At the time she be holding one of the other puppies and never mentioned that the other dog was outside in her diaper bag. I have no idea that the dog was there and when i go outside and discovered her bag outside I picked it up and looked inside and the dog was dead. I am afraid she may enjoy done this on purpose but she is so young to know what she did. Does any one have any counsel on what I should do? She has also been acting very horrific lately and grabbing people for no reason, she is not exposed to intimidation so I do not understand why she is acting out in violent ways.How can this problem be corrected? What can I do to stop this behavior? What would mete out this behavior? Has anyone else ever experienced this kind of situation and if so what did you do?
It COULD have be a mistake, but if she's acting violent, and she's not exposed to it, it could be a sign of autism. ask her doctor about having her evaluated by impulsive intervention. it's free, and it would help to take a load stale of your mind that something could be wrong.
I really don't suppose it could be intentional, at all. I do think this needs to be talk about with her. Explain what happened because I don't believe she know the severity of it all. I would though watch the violent tendency very close. Talk to a doctor about those but I don't feel it's relateover the moonhe poor dogs death. Source(s): 2 1/2 year old daughter.
You should take her to a doctor. Killing a family dog is not something to be joked going on for.

I am assuming the dog suffocated? Even if she sat on him and crushed him...not intentional...not at 2.
At 5, yes I would start to seek help. But hostility and acting out at 2 is a way if expressing her emotions.
Don't leave a toddler alone near pets that are at risk of being hurt. Puppies are too little to defend themselves...kinda like little kids.
Answers: I don't think she made the correlation between putting the dog in the pod outside and the fact it would kill him. It wasn't intentional. This is a good time to speech to her about life & death and show her that animals have need of to be treated nicely too. After this, don't leave her alone with the dogs.
I'm absolutely certain that she didn't know what she was doing when she put the dog contained by the bag. As for the violent behavior thar can be a normal two year mature phase.
