5 year weak pooping pant ..PLEASE HELP!?

Hello I'm a single mom with one child and my son has been potty trained since he be 3. He never had a problem. Recently in the past couple months he have been holding his poop. He is not constipated he has no problem going once he is on the toilet but he is holding it and there is poop surrounded by his butt and a large smudge of poop on his undewear. My sons calls it a "scrap" in his pant. I'm so tired of him holding his poop.. In my opinion he is being lazy.. When he is doing something or pre-occupied instead of stopping what he is doing and going to the bathroom he is holding it.. The worse entry is it does not seem to bother him.. I need help and suggestions. Is this conventional for a child to be this way..
i have the same problem so i go to my gp and he refer my son to see a padtrician doctor for help and advise on how to help him.my son is at university and i have phone calls to come and collect him as he done in his pant he also seems to hold on to it.i have told him off and i also basically bath him but nothing works.you should go and see your doctor for support.
Ok, so hopefully I can help since the other answers I see make little sense. So I enjoy known a boy once who did that at the same age, he was doing it because he be mad at mom, or because he was "too Busy" Have you punished him for it? Not like spanking, but perchance taking something from him... Like whatever preoccupies him...
My son is 4 and lately he pee's just a tiny bit in his pant, so I told him if he was not big boy enough to go potty, later he is not big boy enough for his movies. Once I took the movies things changed.
I have a sneaking suspicion that you should ask more often if he wants to go poop within the bathroom. Perhaps he will answer no. But you must do that your son poop in the bathroom. Then as a prize i would clean her butt and tell that he have done OK.
If he's holding it long enough for it to leak out, give him a glycerine suppository to attain it all out. And let him know that if he continues to withold he'll be getting lots more of them - that may be the motivation he needs!
Answers:    it is very normal he is not good-for-nothing he is just having to much fun to stop and take the time to poop. some kids also do this when contained by school. my daughter use to hold it at school because she was afraid it would smell. it does lead to problems in the long run because as you know its not good to hold it. My daughters Dr said this is actually adjectives. here is what to do for it. you need to put your son on a schedule. whenever he is more likely to want to do this. at duplicate time everyday in my case it was surrounded by the morning after breakfast sit him on the pot and ask him to try to poop before he can play even tell him this way he wont own to go during play. if he goes great if not that's ok too. after pick a 2nd time and do this again. do this everyday and eventually his body will pick up on the pattern and he will go at the same time everyday. Lots of grown men i know who work construction do this they train in attendance body to go in the morning before work or evening after work because a great deal of times they have no bathroom to use during work. good luck and please please please do not scold him for this. adjectives that will do is confuse him and make him think of going as a fruitless thing.
