Any appropriate cold drug for my three year antiquated?
My daughter is three, and she has a little common cold. Can I make a contribution her anything over the counter to help it? She's just so pitiful looking, it's horrible when their sick that young.
benatyl is pretty good. I got the one for nighttime. I also used triaminic (im not sure in the order of spelling). They did help ease their cough during the night. If she have a fever, you may want to give her some kids tylenol for that but check the other meds to see if they already have that within there. But i would stick to benatyl or triaminic.
Even though it is VERY rock-hard to see them like this, cold medicines are no longer recommended by pediatricians because the risks out way the rewards.
They enunciate you should use home remedies instead. Using a half a teaspoon of honey as a cough suppresant helps a ton. Using humidifiers is very important. Cough drops IF she can handle them. And if she gets really congested to where she can't almost breathe, sit beside her in the bathroom with the shower running on hot so that the bathroom steams up. Sit with her nearby for about 20 minutes and it's like magic. Hope she feel well soon hun. :)
Answers: Like Simply Me already said, cold prescription is a big no-no for toddlers. When my little girl is sick I use baby Vicks, saline for her nose, baby tylenol and this awesome toddler wash. It's called vapor wash or something close to that. It's just like using the baby vicks but it's so much better because you put it contained by the bath. It works wonders! Also chicken soup, Pedialyte and extra snuggles always make my daughter consistency better.
Poor baby! I hope she feels better soon! It's so hard to see your child hurting!
Paracetamol suspension, keep her cool, lots of fluids and mommies love worked every time for mine.
