Fattening food for my 1 year weak?
My daughter turned one on July 12th. She has always been small and contained by the lower percentiles for her weight. I have never been too worried because i also be in the lower percentiles as a baby. So anyway at her one year check up my pediatrician wanted to add on some pediasure in with her normal meal, breakfast, am snack, lunch, pm snack, and dinner along with vitamin D milk throughout the day (about 21 oz). Turns out i think she is allergic to the pediasure because she have been vomiting and developed a red blotchy rash over her stomach and a little on her facade and neck.
So my question is does anyone know of a food or drink for a one year old to give a hand her get more nutrition or help get her immensity up? The doc says she needs a lot of calories.

You need to discuss both her response to what they have already suggested and what your alternatives are.
Please remember, you are not trying to 'fatten' her, you are trying to bring her up to a healthy weight. Those are two terrifically different things.
Ask for a referral to a Dietitian if you are unsure about any of these issues. But start with going straight back to the doctor.
Try feed her full fat yogurt like liberte or greek yogurt
Well, i'd just ask the doctor those kinds of questions because they know better than we do. Ask if their is another drink LIKE pediasure that she can try. You requirement to feed your baby healthy foods to some extent than fatty foods. So ask your doctor what's healthy but will make her gain weight at indistinguishable time..
With my 11 month outdated i feed him as many times a day as i can. He be pretty skinny when about 5-6 months but now he up there. I nurture him alot of variety of foods, chicken, pasta, soups, cookies, cereals,baked potatoe with butter, cheese and sour cream, fruits, in recent times offer as much as you can so she can have more choices to eat and see what she like.
Are you able to get a second opinion? Foods beside empty calories like Sugar wont help her out surrounded by the long run.
Doesn't seem like the Doctor and his nurses are very compliant.

Answers: does she do OK near the plain vitamin D milk? If she does, try carnation instant breakfast in her milk. It has like 200 calories per 1/3 cup of powder and comes contained by like 4 flavors. You could also try one of the adult suppliment drinks such as Boost.or you could go to walmart and try a protein powder to donate to her milk. I think the one I used in my fruit smoothies was similar to 200 calories in 1/4 cup ( and vitamins and something crazy like 20grams of protein per serving).
I would also ask for a referal to a pediatric endocrinologist. They will look at her growth chart, and parents heights/weights, and maybe do some x-rays and blood test to see if there is anything to worry about. My elder son was pretty much always in the 25th or lower percentiles, but he dropped percentiles on a regular cause until he was 11 and put on growth hormones.
what about toddler formula? such as enfamil next step.
Let her doctor know. Maybe he might know of a soy alternative.
