What is one point you longing you would hold particular past you go into confinement?
I would approaching some advice! =)
Well my labor come on in the middle of the night, I wish that I would own took a long shower before I went to the hospital. I was contained by labor from 6 that morning to about 9 that night and since I had an epidural I couldn't run a shower until the next morning.
I read book after book about labor and delivery and felt completely prepared when the time come, but I had skipped every chapter about c-sections because I wasn't planning on having one. After pushing for 2 1/2 hours, guess what I done up with? That's right - a c-section! I wish I hadn't skipped over those sections surrounded by my books - I would've felt much more prepared, and a lot less worried about what was to happen.
I also LOVE the answer around being prepared to still look like you're pregnant. The day after we brought our daughter home, my mother looked-for to take some nice pictures of my husband, our daughter, and me, and I CRIED that I still had to wear maternity pant, and I refused to wear a maternity shirt, but I couldn't find anything that didn't make me look as big as a house.
How long after birth the doc/midwive would still be "working down there". Probably about an 1 hr. for me.
It was also a huge rush of liveliness for me, i never expected to have that type of feeling. A natural dignified, i guess one would call it.
nothing
How to relax and breathe properly. Oh yes, and not to listen to elder moms who scared the hell out of me with their horror stories!
just be prepared to poop on yourself, i had no clue that would come to pass, all through labor i had to change sheets and my gown, it be so gross! as the baby pushes down so does all your crap lol, they never gave me anything to verbs me out before labor so it was so gross, just ask for that when you walk in.
THAT MY FEET WERE GONNA SWELL LIKE ELEPHANT LEGS.
I would have bought that pack of skittles from the contrivance so I had something to snack on.
nothing
How pregnant I would look after having the baby! No one prepares you for the meaningless flabby stomach that still looks 5 months pregnant. Don't worry though, it goes away in a few weeks.
