Well, at your age it'd be hard to get any type of commercial employment, but really, chores are a really great way to earn some extra pocket money. When I was your age (listen to me.. the old man..) I did extras around the house such as ironing (got payed $2 per shirt), vacuuming, mopping, cleaning window, and basically just keeping the place nice and tidy. Earned myself quick a bit of extra dosh doing that sort of stuff.
Be sure to negotiate a nice return system first, you may be 12 but you still want to get payed fairly too.
Although being a girl, you could other just bat your eye-lids at daddy and convince him to loan you a 20. =P

When i was 12 i wanted to lift money to get a laptop so i baby sat, i did patio work and asked for like only money on my birthday and Christmas and got adequate to get my laptop when i turned 13...P.S. im 13 right now

babysit someones child or charge your parents to wash their cars.
You can go around to local small businesses and ask them if you could maybe verbs for them a couple days a week for a couple bucks. You could also try walking dogs, pulling weeds, taking trash out, shoveling in the winter, cutting grass, wash cars, or doing a little housework, for your neighbors.
