My 18 mo feeble have started getting up during the darkness crying. why? How do I gain her support within her bed & not our ?

she could be having nightmares. lug her back to her bed and lay with her until she falls back to sleep. surrounded by the morning talk to her. try to get her to tell you why she is getting up. (thats if you can become conscious her speech well) once you get the reason for the nightmares do whatever you can to fix it. my niece have watched monsters inc. and thought the monsters were going to get her so every hours of darkness we check her room and make sure there arent any monsters and she is now sleeping contained by her own bed and making it through the whole night without any problems
Our son is 14 months and he too will do that every now and then. I tried staying up with him once and completed up taking him into our bed which after a while he fell asleep but i had a bad nights sleep plus he be awake hours earlier than normal. No more of that! Sometimes i go to his crib, bring a drink, check his diaper, and put orajel on his teeth contained by case thats the issue then walk put a bet on out. If you try standing there by his crib or getting him out he wants to play and the second you put him back down its support to crying. Often i just let him cry it out because i know ive done all i can he simply needs to self soothe himself back to sleep.
It's a phase, and if her schedule has been thrown past its sell-by date for any reason, then this should be expected. As with my 2-year-old, I be in the hospital for almost 2 weeks. My mom and grandma cared for him, and his bedtime schedule have been completely thrown off since then. He use to lay down and step to sleep at the drop of a dime, once we went through his bedtime routine, of a warm bath and stroke. Now he is up all night, doesn't want to sleep in his own crib, and upset of the dark. I usually will rock him to sleep, then once he is sleep, I will place him in his bed. I will play soft music within the background also. Just stay firm with the schedule, eventually she will be fund on track. Source(s): Mother of 2-year-old boy.
