Is my son getting plenty nutrition?

Will he eat potatoes? I recently learned that humans can survive on potatoes and milk. At 18 months he should be drinking at least possible 500 mls of milk a day just for the vitamin D. But if he is peeing and pooping and growing he is fine -- continue to give a variety of foods every day -- fresh fruit and uncooked veggies are usually favorites, especially if you contribute dip with them -- most children will not starve themselves, they pay more attention to what their bodies are telling them than we do.They do tend to dance through phases with what they will and will not eat, my youngest will some days eat anything you contribute her and other days will eat nothing or seemingly so. Have him eat beside you and offer him what you are eating, he might decide to try it. Source(s): mom of 6
Would try to increase the amount of fruits and vegetables next to the oats he is already eating. Protein can be found in nuts, eggs and beans. Not sure if giving an 18 month old vitamins is the best idea… but should ask your doctor.
