Toddler beside mild tooth rotting?

My son is 2 1/2 and about 6 months ago I started noticing a dark nouns on his 2 front teeth. It almost looked like there was something grey stuck surrounded by between his teeth. Now it is a little darker and you can clearly see it when he smiles. I feel approaching such a terrible parent because he fought me so hard every day beside brushing his teeth and I probably didn't fight him back enough! The item that confuses me though is that of all the teeth the front ones were the teeth that I was competent to brush. I could always wedge the toothbrush between his lips and carry those so it seems to me they would be the last to have any problems. All of his other teeth are divine and white. He sucks on 2 of his fingers all of the time so do you think that could be why? Do you think this will affect his grown teeth? I know he will not allow a dentist to touch him so what can I do to stop the decay from getting worse?
The cause could be several things. Too much liquid, milk, or anything besides water. Genetics. Not brushing enough. Or all of the above.

What you can do very soon : Brush his teeth at least twice a day. Let him do it for a minute or so then you bear over and do it properly. Try to make it fun. Let him pick out a toothbrush at the store and toothpaste. Only give him juice or sweet drinks at meal if he must have them. Water the rest of the day.

That should help. However if you or his father enjoy bad teeth, he may have them too. I'd take him to the dentist when he is weak enough to sit still.
Once decay sets in there is nil you can do to stop it without a dentists help. Sorry to say it, but it might be time to lug your wee one in and attempt to get a pediatric dentist to try and look at his teeth. I think one of my daughters might hold the same problem and I'm not looking forward to it either.

Good luck!
Answers:    He NEEDS to see a dentist. There is no other way around it.If he doesn't, and it really is decay, he could come into form problems.Decay= rotting. Not healthy! A neighbor boy had bad tooth corrosion and the parents couldn't go to the dentist because they couldn't afford it.It got so bad, his cheek started to rot as well and they needed to remove it (his was severe though)

They might be able to hand over him laughing gas (not sure what age you can give it to little ones) so it could help. Also, try visiting one that specializes within child dentistry.
