Can an 11 year outdated babysit, Would you hire one?
I am currently taking classes for my certificate in babysitting and CPR. I have 2 younger siblings and enjoy been babysitting them and helping my mom with them for years. I've also babysat a little 3 year elderly in Indiana, while I was visiting my grandparents. I can cook and verbs, and am very responsible.
Would you hire me??
I'm only 15, but if i were and adult, I wouldn't move off you alone with kids. You aren't old enough to be alone because you can't fend stale any potential attackers (although I can't either) but the difference is that although you may not want to admit it, you haven't had the time to mature and be capable of handle frightening situations as well as older relatives can.
I too might hire you as a mother's helper next to me here, but I would never hire a child to look after my child when I wasn't here. It doesn't matter to me how "responsible" you say you are to me an 11 year old child isn't developed or responsible enough to watch MY child. I have an almost 19 year weak college student who babysits for me, she has been doing so since she was going on for 17. I wouldn't hire anyone younger than 16.
I personally would NEVER hire anyone to babysit younger that 13...and that's the very youngest. Source(s): mom of 2 toddlers
I would hire you as a mother's helper- just to take care of my infant while I am doing other things. I don't think I would leave an 11 year old on her own , though, beside a baby although you do sound very responsible. I'm lately one of those overly protective mommies.
Good luck!
Answers: I was 11-years old when I started babysitting and also took the Red Cross Babysitting courses. More than expected I'd have you watch my son with me nearby a few times before I left you alone with him...purely to make sure!!
If you're looking for work you can try advertising at local churches or volunteering in their nursery/toddler rooms to earn the trust of parents. You can also mitt out flyers at your local park or beach to parents with children.
Good luck!!
I don't care how certified they are or how "mature" they claim to be at 11 I would not hire an 11 year aged to babysit for my child.
No offense but me personal no I wouldnt hire anyone one younger than 15 years old to babysit my 3 kids while hubby and I have an evening out. Thats good that you enjoy your certificate and have your CPR.
No way, sorry.
Not to mention, it is dubious for someone under 12 to stay home alone.
