2 Year Old Swallowed Tooth Paste?

My 2 year old nephew was brushing his teeth, but didn't spit out the tooth paste that he be using. It wasn't a lot, just enough culture usually use, and I was wondering if he'll be okay?
A small amount should be fine. Next time use a children's tooth paste :)
Swallowing a lot of toothpaste.. This can motive stomach ache and possible intestinal blockage.

These additional symptoms may occur when swallowing a massive amount of toothpaste containing fluoride:

* Convulsions
* Diarrhea
* Difficulty breathing
* Drooling
* Heart attack
* Salty or soapy taste in the mouth
* Slow heart rate
* Shock
* Tremors
* Vomiting
* Weakness

If the product was swallowed, in half a shake give the person water or milk, unless instructed otherwise by a robustness care provider. Do NOT give water or milk if the lenient is having symptoms (such as vomiting, convulsions, or a decreased level of alertness) that clear it hard to swallow.
Answers:    Maybe. Maybe not. The kid could be sensitive to fluoride and it could do some damage. On the upside though; it's not your kid.
Yes he will be fine. My two year aged does the same thing and he has never have any problems. When I was younger as well, I swllowed toothpaste a lot and nought bad ever happened to me. As long as it isn't an excessive amount. he will be fine. Source(s): mother of two
if he was using tooth paste formulated for kids or infants he will be fine. if its for adults he might return with a stomach ache if all he got be the amount thatis normally used. if you are really concerned call the poisin control center they will tell you if you should do something.
logically he will , but be sure he uses baby paste for his teeth.
