How do I achieve my daughter bad the bottle?
My daughter is almost 18 months old, and an old pro with a sippy cup (she's used one since she be 6 months old). She only takes a bottle at nap time and bed time, but I other take it out when she falls asleep-- she has never had one contained by her crib with her. I know she should already be off the bottle completely, but I don't really know how to wean her. She's very strong will, emotional, and reactive (like I was lol), and any change of routine have been extremely difficult for her to handle. I want the process to go as smoothly as possible, though I know it won't be a piece of cake, and I'd love any suggestions.
when my son turned one i just told him that it would be his last bottle and when he be finished he hasnt seen a bottle at alll.
hes now 2 and a half
this is what i did to my 18mon old daughter. i dipped the nipple in salad dressing and give it to her and she cried and said "yakee mommy" and i poured the milk to the sippy cup infront of her but she kept crying and i gave her back the dipped bottel then she said yakee again after i told her it's yakee so i throw it out infront of her then right away she start drinking from the sippy.

Answers: in recent times take it away cold turkey. give her the sippy at bedtime and nap time and be done. She will probably cry a bit the first 3 night or so but then she will be just fine. have her enjoy a goodbye ceremony to those bottles and take them to the trash and say bye and let her know she is a big girl very soon. Really throw them away though so that you will not back out of the plan.
You have to go cold turkey its the singular way just take the bottles and throw them away and explain to her baba went bye bye she will cry for a few days but she will forget all about the bottle it will be tough but hang down in there and do not give contained by no matter what.
During the day this is what I did. Offer her a bottle with her NOT so favorite drink or something similar to prune juice etc. At the same time offer her a sippy cup WITH her favorite drink and praise her her man a BIG GIRL and drinking from a sippy cup. Do the same for bedtime.
