1 year ancient son bang his chief on everything!?

My wife and I are beginning to get a little worried... my 1 yea dated son bangs his head on the floor, the walls, his toys... pretty much anything he can reach next to it. IS THIS NORMAL? Is it possibly a sign of something being wrong?
IT seems that he does it mostly when he is frustrated with something, but sometimes it appears as if within is no reason for it at all.
Any thoughts or possible explanations would be appreciated. Thank you!
That is really weird...not normal at adjectives. Something is probably wrong. Go get it checked out!
This could be normal one year old exploration, or it could be an early sign of autism. Head bang can be an indicator of autism. Does he do it in a controlled manner or as hard as he can cause injury to himself. Are there other indicators, like he's a late mouth, not socially interested, has an unusual attention span for certain activities? If you are concerned, verbalize to your pediatrician.
Answers: My son did the same point up until he was about 26 months old. It really worried my at the time because I thought he must be doing some sprain to his head. I asked the doctor about it at his 2 year check up and he told me that it's normal and it won't destroy him in any way. He does it to get attention and if you don't earnings attention to it, he will stop doing it on his own. I used to put my hand in front of his forehead to ease the impact when he did it, but after what the doctor said, I would only let him do it and not even go over to him and within a couple months, he stopped entirely. So don't verbs, it's just a phase, and it will go away once he sees that it's stopped working it's illusion on you and your wife.
This is more normal next you think. Just don't give him any attention for it, and he will stop. I took my oldest to the doctor for it when he was two. His doctor told me he be fine, and just likes getting a reaction out of me. He did it for a couple more months and I disregarded it completely, then he stopped.
And no, he did no damage to his head at adjectives. He actually really smart.
My little brothers do the same thing! They are 2 and 1 years old. As far as I know, nearby is nothing wrong with this. I don't know why kids do this, but I think that most do. As long as he isn't hitting his pave the way hard enough to hurt himself, I would just permit him go. Just watch him to make sure he isn't hurting himself. If you infer he's getting hurt, take him to the doctor. However, my brothers do that too and they are perfectly fine. Source(s): Personal experience
