How various eggs should a toddler munch through?

Just wondering... my 20 month old has 2 (either in an omelette or scrambled) roughly every other daytime. So, about 6-8 per week. This OK? Also, roughly how much milk, he has 2 cups a day (about 15oz cows milk) but have started to ask for more.

Cheers
His milk sounds fine. You could hand over maybe 5 more oz a day if he really wants it. 6-8 eggs a week is fine. It is biddable protein and the cholesterol isn't that horrible. You could switch to egg beaters if you are worried.
Just my two pennies worth...

Zero.

I researched this for my family's health some time ago, and I kept finding the same information. It shocked us for a week back we could get past the facts. Eggs are female reproductive organs and should not be consumed, especially by boys. Mammal milk is mucus, and is designed to accommodate a specific growing mammal. Cow milk is designed for a growing calf (large body), not a growing human (much smaller body structure), not to mention the commercial version's added sugars, hormones, antibiotics, etc.

Also, both eggs and milk, whether commercial or natural, contain blood.

I know this is gross. Like I said, we were in shock for at least a week over this information. I know your examine was asking how many, but for the sake of health, I answer honestly.

Maybe almond, spelt, quinoa, or hemp milk (sweetened beside a little maple syrup Grade B or blue agave nectar) would be a great replacement?

Cheers!

Answers:    Eggs are a wonderful source of protein, vitamins and fat. If you are choosing eggs as his source of protein because he likes them, and he isn't eating meat, cheese or other protein foods, then by all means, allow him to take his protein from eggs. One egg a day is not too much. Your little guy should not eat so many eggs that he is not hungry for other foods that he also wishes to eat.

If he is also getting egg in other foods, such as puddings or baked goods within addition to that egg, it is fine. Those eggs are coming with a variety of ingredients that are contributing to the diversity of nutrients contained by his diet. Children from birth to age two should not follow the dietary guidelines that restrict fat and cholesterol, because they are in a period of fast growth and development that is characterized by high nutritional requirements. Foods lofty in fat and cholesterol help them to get together these requirements.

As for the milk, you should keep it where it's at. When he asks for more milk offer a cup of water (preferably) or juice (I tend to mix my 2 year old's with water) instead. More after 16 - 24 ounces of milk a day has been certain to lead to constipation. Not to mention the fact that he will be getting a lot of his day after day calories from milk alone, when he should get them from food.
