A three yr ripened (will be 4 surrounded by august) that cant gossip, grunts, murmurs, but no words.?
i have friend whos daughter is three, almost four and she doesnt talk. she cant even repeat words said to her. she grunts, screams and grab when she wants somehting. my friend said she is getting frustrated with her. what can she do? will the doc help?
my 2 yr mature speaks much better than her 3 yr old, thats what got us concerned.
The baby is probably a short time ago as frustrated as your friend is. It's hard on a 3yo that can't communicate and tell their parent what they want. I'm not sure where your from but here the Department of human services will facilitate you. They set up appointments a few days a week to work with her. But yes your friend does need to do something now. Before the child is delayed any more... Just reckon she starts school in a year or should be going to pre school this year. This also can sustain her out with her speech but just being thrown into a class next to other children can also make her retract because of her inability to Communicate and being frustrated. The child needs her hearing tested for one point, it sounds to me as if she may have a hearing problem. Being in the "nothing percentile" for growth has nothing to do with nouns. My daughter isn't even ON the growth chart yet developmentally she is actually ahead in some things and right on the dot with the rest. Well baby check ups do not test the audible range of a child, your "friend" needs to TELL the doctor that there is a problem with the child's speech and ASK the doctor if it could be her audible range. The doctor isn't going to know there are problems if she doesn't say anything.

if she be going and the doctor said nothing then it's time to get a bright doctor
if not then make sure she go as they are important for exactly this reason
