7 year infirm daughter's behavior?
My eight year old daughter has started talking to me and her mom surrounded by a small kids voice. We dont know how to handle this.
My step daughter to be tried that last year so we just started ignoring her everytime she talk like that we told everybody to do the same she eventually stopped when she realized no is attracted! Hope it works for you.
Probably just a phase or something she does with her friends. I would tell her, "I will answer you when you speak to me correctly"
Kind of resembling please and thank you. My child says I want a drink or get me this... I will say, I will when you ask me the right route. I WILL NOT give them anything they demand.
I will not answer baby address.. same thing.

dont give her reinforcement.
in recent times ignore the behavior.
not the child...most people get this mixed up.
when you slight the child, thats negative reinforcement, and shes still getting the attention that she wants.
dont talk rear to her like shes a baby, treat her as you always hold. Source(s): mommy of 2
ignore her when she parley like that.. like only respond when she discussions normal. (but make sure you make it clear that this is what you are doing - approaching tell her that you wont respond to her baby talk and THEN follow through near it)
Tell her to talk like a grown up or you won't answer her.
teach her a lesson
for example:
ignore her
or
dont talk or play next to her whatsoever
she will eventually learn that talking like i.e. wrong behavior so she will stop
It's just a phase, it will most likely intervene. For now, just remind her that she's eight years old, and dispense her reasons for acting her age. Like, make her WANT to be eight, and say if she doesn't behave similar to an eight year old, you won't treat her like one.
