12 week scan ask?
im having my 12 week scan on thursday and one letter i received said it would be a transvaginal scan and another said ultrasound scan, which will it be?
i live in england
also, what will my child picture look like?

I have both vaginal and the regular ultrasound..the baby will look like a gummy bear...kinda lol i'm 37 weeks and 6 days pregnant.
i in recent times had my 12 week scan yesterday and they did both a regular one on the tummy and then a transvaginal one. be glad if you get a tranbsvaginal one. everything is SOOO much clearer!! it looks approaching aq little bean but fully formed baby lol it's little but i got to see my little ones fingers and he was doing the cha cha. lol its so awesome. i neevr get an early scan with my first so it was definetely exciting
Answers: I had my 12 week scan ending week and they did the regular stomach one. THey did say that if they had difficulty finding the baby, or if my bladder wasn't full plenty they might have to do a transvaginal scan. But the baby was really clear (and wow did I involve to pee after, lol) so there was no need for the transvaginal scan.
The transvaginal is more comfortable because you acquire to do it with an empty bladder.
