My mother told me she hoped.?
My little girl wasn't ginger, she already told me before we found out the sex that she hoped it wasn't a boy. Now she doesn't want her to be ginger.
My partner is or rather was ginger, his crude hair colour has gone more blonde than ginger now.
I love ginger spike, and i don't think it should matter if shes ginger or blonde or even if shes born with bloody purple coat tbh.
Why can't my mum just be happy shes going to have a grandchild, instead of picking shortcoming all the time?
I have plenty of female friends that are red head and they've never been picked on because of it, i don't even think that girls are picked on for being ginger now-a-days, only guys, but that's not as common now.
Anyone elses family member told them they hoped your child wasn't something?
It gets on my nerves :/
Next time tell her to wish for a robust baby. The sex and hair colour are so meaningless and superficial.
I have a very selfish mother close to yours. Mine told me flat out she was disappointed i was having a boy, so I did what any mother would do to protect their child, I cut that evil woman out of my life span.
She doesn't deserve to be called a grandma. Tell her to wake up to herself. If she doesn't, leave her and her miserable comments down...
Look at Aussie Nicole Kidman, she is a red head and she is just stunning!
That's so irritating. When people always pine over what kind of hackle or eyes, or complexion the baby will have.
Just tell you mom that you hope for a able-bodied baby and that is what matters most... She doesn't stipulation to be so superficial.
Ask your mum what would she prefer a HEALTHY ginger head grandchild, or a sick blonde/brunette? Point out to her that as a grandmother, her priority should be the well being of you and your child and not foolish things like curls colour!
Answers: Im a red head and so is my father and all his brother and sisters, the babies father is brown but adjectives his brothers and sister are red heads, so Im pretty sure im having a red head, Im have a little girl as well, and just communicate your mom to grow up. Red heads dont get made fun of? I never did, certainly not for human being a red head I always get compliments similar to, is that natural? or how do I get my hair that color? Red is stunning :) Color of love.
Well girls now do get picked on. Everyone does, there is no avoiding it. My best friend is one. But I agree Red coat is really pretty. Just talk to your mom about it. Ask her politely to keep her gloomy thoughts to herself.
Eh... My in law always say they want me to have an abortion when I win pregnant because 'kids are a burden'. It makes me so angry when I have a miscarriage after they say these things that I didn't update them when I found out I'm pregnant again last week. So far everything's going better than any of the other times, so maybe it was a apposite idea not to tell them...
In any case, your mom will love her grandchild not thing what color her hair is. Ginger hair is beautiful anyway, and we both know it. :-) At least possible she's not wishing her grandchild dead...
LOL, my grandma told me she was hoping for a girl because my sister already have a boy! I guess she only wanted some diversity.
Bad luck Nanna! 3 years later and she have 4 great grandchildren, all BOYS!
yes. A girl. My MIL calls the infant (of which we don't know the gender) her grandson all the time. It gets on my nerves sometimes because she says I've get the doctor set for the circumcison and buy blue don't waste your time with yellows and neutrals.
So, I feel close to if it is a girl she's just going to rub it in my face and it's going to be my responsibility. And if it's a boy I feel like she's going to rub it in my obverse and say I'm a bad parent for not knowing.
My sister is a ginger and I turned out to be a blondie. Tell your mom flat out what you just said eventually she'll bring the point to keep her mouth shut on things that could upset other people.
just transmit her to back off!
cut your mom out of your life.
too much negativity
Sounds like you are have a similar day as me. Been dealing with an immature human being and now my brain is fried. LOL. i can't say that this has happen to me. I think everyone around me just hopes that our baby is forceful. I'm sorry that you have to deal with that. But I devise I would have to say something back to her the subsequent time something like that came out of her mouth. If you stop her in her tracks, she'll cram to be more sensitive next time. It's okay to have those thoughts, but it's not always okay to announce them. It's giving of tacky honestly. Especially because it is your baby and not hers. Now if it were you motto that about your own child, that is different.
My best friend is a Ginger :)
Just tell your mom that you are happy about anything hair color she has and you don't care. Maybe she will stop unfolding you stuff like that after you tell her.
my nan only like girls,
when i phoned round excitedly telling every1 i was having a boy she said 'oh economically never mind'
but then again shes not know for her tact either, she says things which are hurtful but contained by a round-a-bout way, for example, my auntie says she'd love a nose duty as its too large, to which my nan said 'u dont have a big nose, basically an underdeveloped chin'
she meant well i meditate.
so im worrying that if my son is born with something or other not 'perfect' i will get one of those comments.
for example if he has immense ears id more than likely get a 'dont verbs about those ears, he'll grow into them' type of comment.
the only thing i hope for my child is that he is beaming and healthy xxx
best wishes xxx
Next time she says something resembling it just say, "Well, me and (husband's name) are just really hoping the babe is healthy right now. Compared to her health, her spine and eye color are petty."
If she continues to be negative, you need to give you & her some space and explain why you are doing so. Because if she is going to verbs on like that she really isn't someone you would want in your daughters life.
