12 week scan coming up?
Hi ladies,
I have my 12 week scan coming up on the 8th August. This is my second baby and I am very excited.
I am also rather scared that I will go to my ultrasound and they wont be able to find a heartbeat or something else. I remember person scared with my first baby also, but it be all ok. Obviously.
I feel like I am pregnant and I enjoy all the symptoms etc, I'm just a little worried and the hormones aren't helping!
Does anyone know how adjectives it is to not have any obvious signs of a miscarriage but to have a scan that doesn't show a tot?
I don't even know if my question makes sense. Sorry!

i felt close to that all through my pregnancy
every scan, every appointment with the midwife, an the few times i ended up contained by hospital
eventually when i went in to labour i be put at high risk as there was some complications
within the end eveything was fine, but the only problems be around labour
try not to worry, the more i worried when summit was wrong the worse the problems be
youv done it befor an everything was okay so you will be fine again

Relax, if your doctor said that you are pregant he probably knows what hes or she is discussion about. There would have already been signs if you hada miscarriage, but right immediately he is just making sure that your baby us un your uterus and not your tubes. Good luck with the scan and congrats on the kid.
Answers: I hold my 12 week scan coming up next month, and this is my second baby also. I feel alike as you although i have the signs of pregnancy i just don't feel pregnant but im worried that either something will be wrong with the baby or it wont be at hand.
I reckon maby hormones are playing a big part.

I feel the same way. This is also my second and I'm really agitated. They aren't giving me an ultra sound until 20 weeks so that sucks, but I get to hear the heart beat subsequent week (hopefully) anyway. Good luck
Well.my second pregnancy didn't go as well as the first. I went contained by for a pregnancy test at the drs office around my 4th week. I tested positive but it was a lightheaded positive. I went in for a check up at 10 weeks. No heartbeat was detected. I be sent in for an ultrasound the next day. They determined that i be just not as far along as was thought. I did point out to them that I was 10 weeks and they be telling me that I was only five weeks. I consequently said that it was impossible because i was already getting prenatal care up to that time they said i got pregnant. Well i was kinda pushed aside and I went another ten weeks, hang on to in mind that I went to the doctor and still no heartbeat was detected during this time. My OB assured me that we would hear it by subsequent week or they would do another ultrasound. I didn't make it that long. I started to bleed one day I went to the ER. I explained everything to the doctor on duty. They did blood test and urine tests along with an ultrasound and vaginal exam. My blood HCG levels be at 8 weeks and my urine levels were at 5 weeks. I should be 20 weeks at this point. The ultrasound revealed that I was still solely five weeks pregnant.10 weeks after the first ultrasound. Long story short, the first ultrasound was miss read. I really had a bliaded ovum and should have miscarried weeks ago but didn't. I concluded up having to have a DNC and had a massive uterine infection and eventually needed a blood transfusion because of one misread ultrasound. Yes I did sue that doctor.
I don't want to terrify you. I'm sure you will be fine. Keep in mind that all pregnancies are different.
